	I had the enormous pleasure of first meeting Sue in 2001 after returning from a three week Holocaust study program to Poland &amp; Israel. Forty school teachers from across the county were selected and I was one of them. The Wood River Jewish Community provided a generous portion of the trip&#39;s expenses and for that, I&#39;m enternally grateful. Sue invited me to make a presentation to the local Jewish community which I was honored to do. Sharing my experiences with those who attended that night was one of the most memorable moments of my thirty year teaching career. A few years later, Sue started volunteering her time and considerable talents to our Wood River Middle School students who were learning to play the violin. I was fortunate to have a classroom that Sue had to pass as she gathered up the lucky ones who were able to spend an hour with her. It was always a delight to see her!
